Peep Defence v1.5
Hello again, another quick post about the tower defence game I’ve been working on.
I tried to get this into a fit state for “version 2” last month but other things have taken up my time, so development has paused until I can set aside the time to sort it out properly.
The new version has some ambitious features, which aren’t just technically difficult but also legally – there’s a few elements which I want to add which may fall foul of data protection regulations unless I can suitably pseudonym-ise them (bleugh, the joys).
My brain has been wrapping in knots about the best way to manage them but for now, I’m going to set them aside until I can implement them properly.
For now, I’ll just share a link to the current test version which I would really appreciate any feedback on:
The leaderboard feature, multiple game difficulty levels, and some other late-game content is yet to be added but otherwise most of the main game is up and running!
You now fight against a variety of enemy types, including shielded enemies. There’s the beginnings of a story, plus the modals now show better tutorials and wave-specific information as you progress. I’ve added a new interface for buying and upgrading towers, which should hopefully work but there might be the odd bug I need to squish before version 2 as well.
